Algae Outside stairs are a constant problem in the rainy
season in B.C. It's one of the most common complaints of residents here,
and honestly, there are no magic solutions. Wood stair treads get slippery
at this time of the year when the algae grows and the weather is wet
and dirty. What can be done? GET-A-GRIP
1) Predetermine placement of stair tread by marking your normal foot placement on the stair. ( Generally located 2" to 3" from nose. ) 2) Place stair tread in center of desired location ( or 2 side by side if area is wide. ) 3) Insert #8 truss head screw ( supplied ) into top side and bottom at center of stair tread. 4) Place screw into material edge on an angle. As the screw goes into the surface of the wood, pull it towards the outside edge to ensure stair tread will taunt onto surface as to avoid potential tripping hazard. 5) Repeat on opposite side.Screw pattern may be varied depending on application 8-10 screws will be required per piece Tools

ensure any loose wires on ends or folded sides are turned down towards
the installation surface. Any
loose wires should be removed or bent over ( loose wires may occur during the manufacturing process. )
